Sharon L. Stokes is an experienced Dementia Care Specialist with a demonstrated history of working with families living with the challenges of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia. With over 17 years of working with seniors, Sharon is a Masters trained skilled educator, program developer and dementia-care advocate.

While serving with Alzheimer’s Association Colorado for many years, Sharon developed a special passion for working with those living with dementia and helping them move toward living well (and what that means for the family). Sharon lead the Association’s Savvy Caregiver Program for carepartners and Early Stage Programming for newly diagnosed families amid the challenges of dementia.

After leaving the Alzheimer’s Association, Sharon has devoted her expertise to the principles put forth by renowned dementia care expert, Teepa Snow As a certified Positive Approach to Care (PAC) Consultant,
Sharon continues to work with families and professional caregivers. Believing wholeheartedly in the PAC principles and mission, Sharon advocates for a new sense of dementia understanding, effective communication techniques and strategies to connect with clients in more positive meaningful ways.
