Carol Mitchell

Manager, In Home Care Services

Carol began volunteering at SRC as a Friendly Visitor and a clerical assistant in May 2009. She has been with the In Home Care Services Program since February 2010, and was promoted to manager in March 2012, overseeing the delivery of non-medical homecare to more than 200 individuals by over 80 direct care workers. Carol earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Auburn University (AL), and came to SRC with over 20 years’ experience in customer service. She is an alumna of Leadership Jefferson County (2013), and serves as co-chair of the Basic Needs Workgroup within the Aging Well Project in Jefferson County. In addition, she is a member of the Leadership Team of the Aging Well Project, the Denver Regional Council of Governments’ (DRCOG) Aging & Disabilities Resources for Colorado (ADRC) Advisory Council, and the Jefferson County Council on Aging, and sits on the Board of Directors of the Colorado Culture Change Coalition. Carol has also served as a member of the Core Planners of Home Health Emergency Preparedness Committee, and on the steering committees of Jefferson County Senior Law Day and Jefferson County Safety Awareness Day.
