Monica joined Seniors’ Resource Center (SRC) as its President & CEO in July 2017. She brings more than 25 years of experience in leadership, management, strategic planning, program development, financial management and program evaluation within the nonprofit and public sectors across the country, including spending significant time on the East Coast and in New Orleans before making Denver her home. She has served in executive leadership roles within county government departments, nonprofit human service organizations and nonprofit capacity building organizations, spending over 15 years as a nonprofit President & CEO/Executive Director. Monica earned a Master’s degree in Public and Private Management from Yale University a few years after receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from St. Catherine University. She has taught master’s level courses in leadership and governance as an affiliate faculty member for Regis University’s Master in Nonprofit Management program.
As President & CEO of SRC, Monica provides leadership to SRC’s 260 employees who provide an array of services to help older adults live independently in the Denver metro and Evergreen areas. In doing so, she oversees SRC’s 5 locations and its $10.3 million budget. Monica has served a number of boards and committees throughout her career and is currently serving as a board member for the Family Justice Center in Jefferson County and as Commissioner for Serve Colorado – The Governor’s Commission on Community Service.
