Announcing the John Zabawa Legacy Fund Campaign
President & CEO John Zabawa has accomplished great things for seniors and caregivers in our community over the past 36 years. Though he is retiring this year, the work for seniors must go on.
Jefferson County is home to the largest senior population in the state. Colorado has one of the fastest growing populations of older adults in the nation. Many seniors are under serious financial pressure, with rising costs in housing, changes in health care and insurance, and reduced access to needed services.
With John’s retirement, the Board of Directors is honoring his work and enhancing the stability of SRC by establishing the John Zabawa Legacy Fund Campaign through Community First Foundation. The Legacy Fund campaign runs March 1 – November 30, 2017.
Gifts to this Legacy Fund Campaign will honor John, and help ensure that our growing senior population will continue to receive care from SRC. Gifts to the John Zabawa Legacy Fund build on SRC’s existing endowment fund, and will:
• Contribute to an ongoing source of income for SRC;
• Enhance SRC’s long-term stability, financial credibility and viability; and
• Relieve pressure on the annual fund, as interest income from the endowment fund can provide annual support for SRC’s operating budget.
Other Ways to Give
There are many ways you can support our mission:
Your donations provide services to seniors that enable them to live independently in their homes and in our communities. You may make a monetary donation online with a credit card or by mailing your donation to our office.
Does your employer match your donations to organizations like ours? You can double your impact by using your employer’s matching gift program. If your company is on the list, contact your HR manager or SRC at 303.235.6918 to get the matching donation set up.
Partners in Care
Partners in Care is a program dedicated to donors who support SRC’s services by committing to give sustaining recurring monthly donations. Recurring donations are the best way to give steady support.
